Moviehole.com is reporting that director John Singleton is in pre-production on an unofficial sequel to "Baby Boy," the 2001 film starring Tyrese Gibson as a young man transitioning to adult hood amid the pulls of L.A. street life.

"Fight for Love," scheduled to shoot in the fall, will include original cast members Tyrese Gibson and Taraji P. Henson, but in different roles.

In 2001, they played Jody and Yvette, a struggling couple with a baby. According to Moviehole, "Fight for Love" has Gibson and Henson playing Sir and Cookie, another struggling couple – this time dealing with two kids, disapproving parents and a number of external forces working against them.

"Baby Boy" was once described by Singleton as part three of his "Hood Trilogy," following "Boyz N the Hood" and "Poetic Justice."

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE BUSINESS?

Hello Future Stars!!

Anyone can set up a modeling or talent agency without knowing a thing about the business. For this reason, if no other, you must be very careful who you place your trust in. It's natural to assume that the agent is experienced and has your best interests in mind but, unfortunately, this isn't always the case. There are tons of inexperienced agents around who have gotten there by being married to someone influential, or by having a brother or sister working in the business, or by stepping into the breach when a booker suddenly left and the agent remained there, despite having no proper training. Some have the best of intentions, but their lack of accurate knowledge often misleads the trusting new talent.

Don't be naïve and think that you're immune to all these goings-on. They are rampant throughout the world, regardless of which prestigious name is on the door. It's your job to research things thoroughly and ask lots of questions to determine someone's experience. Talk to other talent who are represented by your chosen agencies, and not necessarily to those whose names are given to you. Be creative and you can find out exactly what you need to know. But at the end of the day it's vital that you follow your instincts and make the best decision you can at the time.

Ice Cube told the Los Angeles Times that he's still hoping to play Mr. T's famous TV role in director John Singleton's upcoming film version of "The A Team."

He said: "Man, I am so ready to play ‘B.A.' Baracus. I was a big, big Mr. T fan. I mean, c'mon, Clubber Lang [in "Rocky III") was amazing. I even watched his Saturday morning show, but that was cheesy. I was like everybody else, I watched it for about six weeks and said, ‘Man this isn't any good.' But the 'A-Team,' I would love for this to happen."

The rapper-actor-producer said he's already been talking to Singleton about the role.

"It's the thing we've been talking about lately, the thing on the other side of the strike or no-strike. I think it could be great," Cube said. "I always look at how they did ‘Mission: Impossible' and even how they upgraded 'Batman' from what it was not that long ago. The key is the story and the director."

Beginning Sunday, Nov. 9, TV One will premiere an original, five-hour special chronicling the unforgettable moments, cultural movements and personal achievement that have advanced the black race in "The Blacklist: 100 Greatest Power Moves."

Arsenio Hall will host the special, which will air over five consecutive nights, covering 20 Power Moves each night, culminating with the top 20 – and the No. 1 moment – on Thursday, Nov. 13.

The special will highlight African-American pioneers and awe-inspiring moments such as: the 1968 Olympic medalists raising their Black Power fists; Thurgood Marshall's induction into the Supreme Court; the birth of Motown records; the emergence of Bill Cosby for the American television audience; Michael Jackson's record-breaking “Thriller” album; the emergence of hip hop; Malcolm X's stance of self-preservation “By Any Means Necessary”; the determination of the Little Rock Nine; and, of course, Barack Obama's historic bid for the Presidency.

The special will include commentary from scholars Michael Eric Dyson , Dr. Molefi Kete Asante and William Jelani Cobb; cultural critics Chuck D, Michaela Angela Davis and Emil Wilbekin, Hip Hop pioneer Russell Simmons, rising politician Kevin Powell; and a host of celebrities and comedians for a lighter and somewhat irreverent view of the Power Moves.

Clifton Powell has been cast as a regular in HBO's drama pilot "Last of the Ninth," described by the Hollywood Reporter as a "1970s gritty cop drama."

The story centers on Joe Dalton (Jonah Lotan), a young Vietnam veteran-tuned undercover cop, and veteran detective John Giglio (Ray Winstone). Michael Gaston will play the lieutenant in charge of the 9th Precinct where the show is set.

Lily Rabe ("What Just Happened") will play a plainclothes cop and a potential love interest for Dalton. Fredric Lehne ("Lost") will play a bright detective with a drinking problem. Michael Raymond-James ("True Blood") will play a macho narcotics detective. Powell also will play a detective.

Fox.com columnist Roger Friedman is reporting that actress LaTanya Richardson has been cast opposite Debra Winger in the upcoming Broadway revival of "Guess Who's coming to Dinner."

"The word is that Winger will take the role made famous by Katharine Hepburn in the 1968 film of a matriarch whose daughter brings home a black doctor as her fiancée," Friedman wrote in his Fox411 column Tuesday.

Jackson is tapped to play the family's maid Tillie Banks, who was portrayed in the 1968 film by Isabel Sanford.

Friedman wrote: "Producers are said to be looking at TV's Amanda Bynes as the couple's daughter, played by Hepburn's niece Katharine Houghton in the film. Still to be cast is the Sidney Poitier role, Dr. John Prentice, although I'm told Mekhi Phifer, of "ER," may be the final choice. If he's not available, producers should try and get Anthony Mackie."

HBO Documentary Films has swooped up North American rights to a film shot in secrecy over the course of two weeks by an inmate at a high-security gang unit in Newark, NJ.

Prisoner Omar Broadway smuggled a video camera into his cell and on the sly shot riots and prisoner abuse through his small window. The footage appears in "An Omar Broadway Film," which made its bow at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival and will be released in theaters in New York and L.A. for Oscar consideration, reports Variety.

"HBO's incredible enthusiasm is what sold us. It's an opportunity to get it out to the biggest audience, namely in the urban areas," said co-director Douglas Tirola.

William Morris is representing the film overseas.
